because using the same source means any encode will look the same, clearly
DDY unfortunately loses detail from overly strong denoising and lack of bitrate. Even Anime-Land managed to produce a better encode.
AoD is Anime on Demand, a German anime site. They tend to release better video quality than Funimation/Crunchyroll. We used them for our video source in this release.

hm, I was told it wasn’t. Scyrous really wanted to encode it.
well, if DDY ever stalls out it’ll be nice to have as a backup.
