Encoded from the Maiden Japan US release which has vastly better video quality than the ancient TokyoPop release (something I also own, but it’s not as bad as the ED encode looks) which naturally resulted in my release being better quality than the old ones. You can see some examples below.

That said, I did also encode the random trailers on the DVDs because reasons, so do enjoy. And just FYI, this is one of my favourite anime of all time. See ya!

Thanks. Will you be doing the OVA version too?
MyLoveEmilia
Thank you.

Thanks for the batch/torrent!

Nice, tried doing this one myself but never enough time to screw with everything

Thanks, but all panning in this encodes is jerky. You should probably ivtc to 24 fps when encoding. I’ve noticed the same problem in your Rayearth OVAs as well.

@rev123, I’ve tried that with things before, but it doesn’t always solve the problem. And when I change settings to make the pannings better, most of the time the video quality slightly suffers because of it.

Try qtgmc if normal ivtc does not work. Wrong framerate is usually more noticable than slightly worse image quality.

You should do the OVA too. The DVDs are cheap if you don’t have them. I’ll probably buy them myself eventually.

@Kiyome, I would do the OVA if the R2 DVDs were actually seeded on ADC, but people have already encoded from them so there’s not much of a point. OnDeed it was IIRC.

So, is there going to be a V2? Just asking.
Still an upgrade over E-D even with the jerkiness.

Good stuff!

You could always just release the remuxes.

Merci beaucoup.

Thanks a lot for this one!

I have this set and the source is jerky, not much the encoder can do about that
