Encoded Stages 1-6 of the Initial D series into high quality MKV h.264 format with English, and Japanese audio, along with English Subtitles as well.
Encoded the Initial D - Extra Stages 1 & 2 OVA into high quality MKV h.264 format with both English and Japanese audio, along with English Subtitles as well.
Encoded the Initial D - Battle Stages 1 & 2 OVA into high quality MKV h.264 format with Japanese audio, and with English Subtitles as well.
Stages 3, 5, and Final are 576p Blu-Ray downscales. Stages 5 and Final were never dubbed, so those only have Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Extra Stage 2 is a Blu-Ray downscale because it had a tad bit more detail than the DVD and was sharper. Extra Stage 2 was never dubbed, so it only has Japanese audio with English subtitles.
For playback all you need is the proper codec or media player if you don’t already have it.
Combined Community Codec Pack or the K-Lite Codec pack should give you all you need and more to play these back.
If you do not wish to install a codec pack, a modern Media Player such as MPC-HC or VLC Media Player should come bundled with everything you need.

I fixed Battle Stage 2, so if you were downloading this before the fix, or already finished downloading the previous upload from a day ago, then just delete Battle Stage 2, download this fixed upload and do a file re-check to have everything already downloaded except battle Stage 2. Then you can get the fixed Battle Stage 2 and continue to seed as well.
I don't really know much about Initial D and am planning to download this to give it a try, so... is there a reason for the downscales? is SD the native resolution of those shows?
@Riddle_Snowcraft
I downscaled because I do not mix SD and HD together when I am doing both separately. I was releasing a 480p, 720p, and 1080p set separately.
I simply downscaled Blu-Ray for the SD release because it looked much better than what was on DVD for those couple of stages.
I would not have even bothered with an SD release if multiple of the stages had not been such a terrible Blu-Ray release or natively SD. Unfortunately, some of the Japanese Blu-Rays were complete garbage that were smeared to hell and looked awful. So awful they were completely ruined for first 2 stages and DVD looked a lot better, so I decided to also release this in SD. You can mix and match whatever you want for your personal preference when all the different resolutions are released.
As for native resolution, this show is quite old, so yeah SD pretty much is for a lot of it. The last couple stages Fifth and Final appear to have been originally animated in HD and it shows, but the older stuff looks natively SD. I guarantee the first 2 stages, the first extra stage, and the first battle stage are SD animated. I think the second extra and second battle stage are native SD as well.
Until better remasters or Blu-Ray releases come out, Id recommend watching like this. Unless 1080p that looks like it was scaled up, yet still looks acceptable does not bother you. Then by all means, just get all 1080p except for the first 2 stages.
First = 480p/720p scaled
Second = 480p/720p scaled
Third = 720p/1080p (Remaster or Blu-Ray release looks more than nice enough to suggest in HD)
Fourth = 480p/720p/1080p (480p if you want grainy details in tact, 720p or 1080p if you want clearer picture, but lost details from DNR)
Fifth = 720p/1080p (Definitely HD animated and meant to be seen as such)
Final = 720p/1080p (Definitely HD animated and meant to be seen as such)
Extra = 480p/720p scaled
Extra 2 = 480p/720p
Battle = 480p/720p scaled
Battle 2 = 480p/720p/1080p (Same reason as Fourth)
@akabane
That all depends on you and your preferences. Your eyes and preferences are not everyone else's eyes and preferences.
In my opinion, this is very much the best SD release you are going to find for the complete series at this point in time when it comes to video quality. I think many others would agree with me.
The so called very best as you put it would be a mix of SD and HD because of native resolutions and DVD/BD release qualities. I do not have HD finished yet, but when it is you can mix and match them how you like and or see fit. I really suggest you read my previous comment about my watching recommendations for the best experience. If your just an average viewer and do not care or notice much, then just get all 1080p when it's done unless file size is going to be a concern of yours.
Does this release have the eurobeat intact? I've heard that certain DVD versions (especially for the First Stage) have had some songs changed/removed.
Also, I've downloaded and watched the Second Stage from one of your older torrents, and the quality was very good. Thank you!
@DarkDream787 for me it was impossible to find Initial D in a good quality like yours, im from south america so i will aprecciate if it is possible to find (with you) or if you have the series without subtitles. Thanks for all your good work
