Hello everyone, just a few notes for this weeks episode:

It took so long because of hats. We (maybe mostly The0x539 :^)) wanted to TS our favorite lieutenant’s “Head Spa” hat that appears in the rooftop scenes. This, as well as the equipment scene, took a bit of time to TS. You may notice that one scene doesn’t have the hat TSed at all (probably for the batch later on). This is mostly because it’s time consuming and we didn’t want to get far behind on the project with episode 3 releasing today. Please don’t tell us that we forgot it, it was unfortunately intentional, for now.

Also a note about the hat, it doesn’t really mean anything. The lieutenant just has a character quirk of (spoilers?) buying unconventional clothes.

The OP, and to a lesser extent the ED, received a stylistic update, after feedback about the original’s look.
And also about the OP, just for a fun tidbit, rcombs put together a (self-proclaimed not-up-to-standards) “singable edit” of the OP ( https://gist.github.com/rcombs/f15620778257b573ea4776984786e715 ).
We don’t plan on using it as-is. Parts of it may show up in an eventual revision to the lyrics, or at least replicated, but that’s not happening until official lyrics drop and Sei has a look at them, but I thought I’d mention it because it’s neat to see and think about for anyone looking to do their own OP/ED editing for this or other shows.

About tagging the subtitles. We had a small talk about it, and ultimately (though not unanimously!) landed on marking Signs track as English and full subs Japanese. We apologize if this specific tagging is not preferred for some people, but at least they’re not both ENG anymore, so if you’re here for subs, feel free to set your players accordingly as this is what we’re using from now on.

Episode 3 will hopefully be out quicker than this one, so look forward to that. We’re not sure what Scyrous will do about the censorship applied to episode 3, and potentially future episodes, but we’ll make a note of it when we/he releases it, probably.
