LY has dropped Dumbells. Only one guy on the team cared about the show and he quit because he was tired of delays outside of his control such as with DDY almost always being slow as molasses as well as Kantai and GJM falling behind as well on his other shows. No one else opted to continue Dumbbells in his place, so we announced it dropped. However, other members continued on with the other projects he was responsible for: Accelerator and Arifureta.

You could make signs and song track in like 30 sec. Select the dialogue lines and delete. Syncing of dub also should be fairly simple.

For weeklies, it will generally be just one edit to the audio track, e.g. removing the Funimation preroll at the start + however much silence is there, so yeah, pretty simple.

For making a signs and songs track, here’s a nice trick in Aegisub: https://puu.sh/EhuM6/9152b870ff.png - these options in the Select Lines menu will generally get rid of dialogue lines from nearly every fansub group, without touching any signs. It’s a good idea to doublecheck before hitting delete, particularly with groups you haven’t touched before, but it hits all the ones you need 99% of the time (only one it doesn’t hit is dialogue labeled “Top”, which is semi-common but also used in so many signs style names that I felt it wasn’t good to risk it. “Top” styles are less common these days anyway.)

@LY have you guys dropped Fruits Basket or is that just delayed?

Fruits Basket is not dropped. It’s just delayed due to the sources being utilized.
