Can someone explain the difference between this and Death True ( Previous release )? I know that DeathTrue2 is a recap and Rebirth is just first 20 minutes of EoE, so what's this?

Most fans know this movie as Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, originally released as a two-part movie separated by a short intermission. Death is essentially a 67-minute clip show, recapping the series. Rebirth consists of 27 minutes of new story, which essentially shows the political situation left out of the series, which prioritized Shinji's internal psychic state. As Gendo and NERV enact their endgame, the Human Instrumentality Project (it's a long story), Japan's military invades NERV headquarters to t stop them. In 1998 Death & Rebirth was re-edited for Japanese television by Evangelion episode director Masayuki. This version was titled Evangelion: Death(True). Later that year, a slightly altered version of Death(True), which restored a few shots Masayuki cut from Death & Rebirth, was combined with The End of Evangelion to create Revival of Evangelion. The version of Death(True) used for Revival is what will appear on Netflix as Evangelion: Death(True)2.

Please redo Evangelion 3.33 with the live action Ghibli short film at the beginning. The first rip doesn't have it, and only the Japanese version has the short film so it is pretty rare. Also, please do the Video versions of Episode 25' and 26'. Which is The End of Evangelion split into two series episodes.

I need to watch the Death, Rebirth and Death & Rebirth Films since after the TV series(alongside the director's cut episodes), I went straight to End of Evangelion. Probably a good time to revisit this :)

Many of the extras from the Blu-ray BOX like the 5.1 music soundtrack, Full Length OP MV and much more are missing. The Rebuild extras were also missing. P.S: The Archives of Evangelion DVD BOX ripped in properly deinterlaced (with YADIF 2X) 60fps with the original ADV VHS subtitles for the series would be amazing as well.

@Jensen, but will you redo Evangelion 3.0 with the short film prologue? The subs I got are synced to copies with the short film but your version doesn't have it therefore breaking sync. I am planning on doing my own private release by Frankensteining a bunch of other versions (mainly to add English dubs and older sub translations).

Okay. I just hope you can tell me what this U2 source for BDMVs is. Can you please give me a link? And the exact settings you used in ripping the Rebuilds so maybe I can do my own rip for 3.33 with the prologue short film. I also hope you can give me the encoder you used to convert LPCM to Dolby TrueHD, and what are the exact settings.

Anyone planning on a big remux release with Sephirotic/Dekinai subs for the main series + movies & CoalGirls/Modified Thora (from CH) subs for the remake movies now that all of Evangelion has been encoded by Beatrice-Raws? I am planning on doing a remux but it would probably be for my own consumption. It would take a while, since my download and upload speeds are low, and I am going to be doing my own x265 encode of the preroll short film for 3.33, which I will splice in before Beatrice-Raws encode of 3.33. My PC only has a 3400G so I can't encode a movie or an episode of a series in 1080p. Anyways, I want a rip of the video versions of Episodes 25 and 26 (EoE split into TV episodes) but I'm worried my PC would take forever to encode each episode (which is double the length of a normal NGE episode) in the highest quality HEVC, especially since it has to be deinterlaced to 60fps. I want this for the people who may want an original video release order for watching the series, which is: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Episodes 01 - 20 + 21' DC - 24' DC Neon Genesis Evangelion: Episode 25 TV Neon Genesis Evangelion: Episode 25 DC (first half of EoE) Neon Genesis Evangelion: Episode 26 TV Neon Genesis Evangelion: Episode 26 DC (second half of EoE) EDIT: After running out of space for everything, having a weak PC, and having slow downloads, I decided to give up on this project of mine.
