This was an OTL, and I thought Crunchyroll’s script was better. Which is not really a knock on Chihiro, since CR’s script was just godlike in general.

It really depends on who’s the translator.

Some CR shows have a pretty good translation and others are Jennifer Challenger Google Translate scripts.

Sriram Gurunathan did the official translation and I thought it was good. Their translations are pretty good in general.

Jokes aside, it’s rare to see CR scripts getting praise, so that’s cool I guess.

OP timing in Ep 4 seems to be all sorts of broken.

I’d ask what the expected timeframe is for the Ep4 patch. But it took them 3 years to release the BD so I’m not too optimistic…

Kudos on actually following through and finishing it though.

Since no one bothered yet, I went ahead and made some quick fixes.

• Replaced 2 instances of Villain to Willem in ep 1 & 3. I understand why it was done, but think it’s stupid.
• Fixed OP 4 timing & problem.
• Included LostYears v2 batch subs.

CR’s script was pretty good so I wanted to include LostYears as an alt track. Some lines are better in CR, some in Chihiro. LY has some small problems though like missing ED in ep 12. Chihiro’s encode is not exactly perfect either but I found Beatrice to have various problems, such as a corrupt frame at the end of episode 1, an instance of smudging around a hand on a table, micro detail loss (grain), and some small sharpening artifacts / line haloing. 404’s release which uses Beatrice + iAHD audio also has missing audio at the end of episode 12.

There’s really no perfect release for this series and hopefully someone makes a new encode in the future. :(
