The French translate the manga officially too… Now I have much deeper respect for them.

My issue wasn’t in finding the right translations, but rather the most common, since multiple choices are correct (whether you split a name into parts or not…) So going with the manga in that regard was a good idea. But from what I’ve seen of the French subs, so far they’re the same (possibly the reference for fan tl).
