It's possible that FUNimation will eventually stop fooling around and release a definitive high definition set making the Dragon Boxes lose its value (especially to those who're holding on to them as an investment).

Never gonna happen. They could've done that for the 30th Anniversary and chose not to. Better hope Toei remasters the show themselves (then Funimation will take that release, denoise the footage and add fake grain in it like they always do), or a company like Discotek Media somehow gains license to DBZ one day to do a proper HD home release.

Too expensive for Discotek and FUNimation would never allow them to go near it. I'd love for Discotek to get it, though.
