Now how do I make mpv to not use signs track for JP audio?

With that second line, setting it to yes should play full subs. Setting it to no should select the forced subs (signs). I believe by default this option is set to yes, at least the manual indicates as such.

The whole reason we dropped ZXX and reverted back to ENG is because mpv finally had a fixed method of playing full subtitles for those wanting Japanese audio.

Of course you’ll also want ‘alang=jpn’ for mpv to auto-play Japanese audio.
