"da what now?" — https://anidb.net/anime/4684
This had to become a milestone in perevodildo-fansubs history, but what a mid show it is to accept as a milestone. My description for this torrent might as well turn out to be the best and most enjoyable part about this show, because naturally, how can perevodildo release a series without kvetching over it in a larger than life torrent description.
boy, some 9 months ago I was considering volunteering for ukraine, but then Unowen asked me to take care so I backed off, resorting to other useless diversions. Turns out, among these was "finishing shows I once had the indiscretion of subbing."
Consider this series an awfully high-effort shitpost, both from my point of tling it and the original studio's point of making it a 2deep4U show based on borderline grotesque concept of your generic shonen MC coping with his weirdo addiction to an underground pachinko-slot-machines tournament (yes, the title is a portmanteau word (yes, this is a thing in Japan)). Though then again, it's clearly not for anime fans to call others' hobbies weird. Double so for fansubbers.
Actually, if you want a quickest ever TL;DR for this show, it's "a pretty girl declines to lose hope after getting stood up 12 times in a row by the same ragamuffin, because the sigma male in question prefers slot-machines over pussy(¬‿¬)" or else, this perfectly silver-tongued screencap

It feels like past the first 10 minutes of the show, the animators kinda gave up, because "Just look at the crap we're filming here, why bother lmao" and went all out goofing around, embracing the aloof grotesqueness all the way until episode 20.
I responded appropriately by making a cheapest ever low-effort sub with barely any proofreading, because statistically, such works make masterpieces more often than any other kind (though we won't specify what they get remembered for).
The raws that hSa gave me for this series are terrible, some episodes are 710x476, some are 710x478, some players see it 634, some 710 because assfucked anamorphic, and consequently play it with a wrong AR. All of it is in 29.97 fps, also somehow fucked up, leading to keyframes sometimes being off by 2-3 frames and episode titles appearing in the most unorthodox places. Also, I had to cut it into slices myself, and because I forgot the mkv, the chapters were lost, too
But at least the file sizes are decent and the video is not stained with artifacts as such, therefore I didn't bother to reencode, because
-One should only ever reencode when he knows he is not aggravating it.-
I came up all too late with the idea to make a list of those, but here are some memorable wordplays/explanations to my weird wordings throughout the series. You can consider it a lazy tl notes file, but who tf reads those anyway, amrite? I'm not providing timings here so as to urge to you go through this cock and ball torture yourself and find those moments by description. And if you don't notice any by yourself, then I did a good job of integrating scriptwriter's gimmicks into the translation.
Ep1 - "lose your neck" is colloquial for "getting fired"
Ep4 - Fingers as eels in the white lake (or something like that) - slender & graceful fingers of an adroit woman
Also Ep4 - hearty as both a buoyant party-thrower and a sailor
Ep6 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanpa
Ep10 - literally, "I was too tall for my own good" or "my height backfired heavily on me"
Ep13 - "you made the red dragon scales fall off" is colloquial for "you made me see the truth"
Ep15 - a very stupid and blatantly deliberate pun with "sex/gender" and "fault" being homonyms consequently played on a Cutie Honey Flash parody character
Ep16 - a whole multi-level chinese proverb "a lowborn/beggar cannot hope to marry haikara-san" that evolved to mean "even a carp is not strong enough to swim upwards the waterfall" with a bunch of puns and double bottoms in itself, like "carp" being homonyms with both "love" and "dragon"
Ep18 - he says "After all, I intend to use only one hand to feed myself/make living [writing articles]" where "feed" is homonymous with "spin [the reel in slothium]" creating an intended ambiguity; also, the context of the scene makes me think some characters attach a third meaning to this line as well, which is "to masturbate"
I hope the TL notes above gave you some idea about how sophistically-well(or poor)-written this series really is and how it can actually do things... when it's trying to. It was also full of both direct and oblique Ashita no Joe references, which, considering the tone of the anime, might as well be conscious references as well, i.e., the characters are aware they are referencing the classics that everyone had seen by now, including other characters. Having AnJ reference also testifies to filming crew having a based anime taste. Apropos, the show itself is more or less about disrespecting women, so I guess it's based too :^)
I would still like to think that by translating this series I contributed to gatekeeping it, for it is no longer considered "a lost media" by twitter plebs or kenny and is therefore devoid of any value for karma vultures, e.g. "meh, friends ain't calling me an elitist if I watch a subbed one" and proceed to look for other obscure shows, thinking there are more of said hidden gems they can one day ping Marty about. Meanwhile, true unbound enjoyers as me and muzu watched it raw precisely because it's shit, albeit it turns into a pretty solid stool towards the ep 20. And it's still better than any isekai they make these days, because it's at least some original shit that is trying to not become a hollow shell devoid of any artistic value. Plus, the OP is a banger. But just not to sound one of "Dude, hear me out, One Piece gets good towards the episode 246!" douches, I'd go as far as saying: Go ahead and skip episodes prior to 20, the latter includes a ton of flashbacks anyway! Or just skip the show altogether, rate it 3/10 on you MAL and move on. I lost enough time meddling with it on your behalf already.
But I digressed. The point is, this series is now forever (i.e. until this torrent dies off) preserved from more unsolicited peeks, like that of George J. Horvath in his excellent http://landofobscusion.blogspot.com/2015/05/pachislo-kizoku-gin-much-like-reels-my.html write-up — one so exhaustive, I feel that if I ever try to say something on the matter of the show, I would end up quoting this.
Seriously though, if you want to waste your time watching anime, waste it on something less weird with the main heroines at least getting their milkers out {scratch that, just finished ep23} and 12 concurrent simulcast translations to par. This is a forgotten anime about a tenous gambling game from the era of industry's droop, based on effectively lost {or rather "nobody cares"} manga, filmed on an unheard-of studio by no-name animators. Tell me it's not bound to be forever obscured, man ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A slosseum/slothium clarification as some nerd had already noticed it in his review: I was using "slothium" for 2 years of working on this series and only noticed in the episode 20 that it's not the canonical spelling, so I couldn't have been bothered to change it just for the sake of its 2 onscreen appearances. Cope with it.
Now, because I'm a big dingus, this release is incompatible with previous batches, but that's fine, I can sustain this torrent afloat myself b( ̄▽ ̄)d
