Orphan and LonelyChaser are very proud to present the first English-subtitled version of the 1983 children’s anime *Noel’s Fantastic Trip * (Noel no Fushigi no Bouken). The movie is the brainchild of the Japanese folk-singer and children’s book author Iruka, who wrote the songs and the story. Japanese R2J encode; FLAC audio. See this blog entry for more details.
Noel’s Fantastic Trip is part children’s tale, part environmental fable. It uses the bright, primary colors of a children’s book:
Iruka’s songs are soothing or uplifting, and the movie is filled with Easter eggs from pop culture, including a guest appearance by the Yellow Submarine itself:
I found this movie charming; I hope you do too.

That sub in the second image is close to a direct copy of Beatles’ Yellow Submarine…
Edit, saw you mentioned it in the description too.
