1/5 the size of Coalgirls. Looks about the same, and with Opus audio. Maybe I'm blind.

The whole point of these encodes is to look "about the same," so...

I wonder, is it still impossible to put av1 encoding settings metadata, so we can check them with mediainfo? I suppose it's best to judge them by eye, but sometimes I need some quick way of approximating quality e.g. by looking at crf/cq.

Different chunks have different encoding settings ranging from q21 to q15.

Just curious but tried to play it on latest mpv-git `vo/gpu-next/libplacebo: Film grain required but no renderable format available.. disabling!` Is this something that I can fix on my end?

[@reply to myself](https://nyaa.si/view/1671992#com-8) Umm removing `gpu-dumb-mode=yes` from my mpv config fixed it 🤦 gpu-dumb-mode basically cripples mpv by disabling extended features. I think it was useful for smoother playback on my older potato and well forgot to remove it when i got my current device. Just writing this comment if anyone was dumdum like me and faced the same issue.
