Orphan and M74 present the first English version of the 2001 movie Inochi no Chikyuu: Dioxin no Natsu (Life on Earth: The Summer of Dioxin). This fictionalized story recounts the events of the 1976 environmental disaster in Seveso, Italy. An accident at a nearby chemical plant sent kilograms of the lethal chemical dioxin into the air, where it settled on the local towns around Seveso. Lack of information from the plant’s owners (Givaudan and Hoffman-La Roche) delayed emergency measures, and many of Seveso’s residents were exposed to dangerous levels of dioxin contamination. For more information, see this blog entry.
Inochi no Chikyuu: Dioxin no Natsu has been gestating a long time. It started more than eight years under the auspices of M74. It has now been translation checked and extensively revised, edited, and typeset. The raw is from a Russian team called AnimeGorodok. This is a joint Orphan and M74 release.
This release, and all Orphan releases, are available for direct download from IRC bot Orphan|Arutha in channels #nibl or #news on irc.rizon.net.

Sir I have a proud history of having strange relationships with quasi-documentaries.
