This is a BD, but it’s actually VHS quality. ( BD Source 720x480, interlace , 1.75G )

dot crawl, afterimages, high frequency jitter, flicker, scratch, and damaged spot are very annoying when watching video.

When testing, I were able to create much better quality video by spending more time mitigating side effects and then 2K upscaling.

(Heavier afterimage removal and other algorithms + Motion Compensation Option enforce + upscaling)

However, encoding takes a little more time.

If Upscaled BD was allowed in Nyaa, the work could have proceeded, but since it was not, it was cancelled.

I compromised side effect mitigation and encoding time to a level appropriate for 1280x960 resolution.
