Shouldn’t this batch include “[Doki] New Game! - OVA (848x480 Hi10P DVD AAC) [CDF9877A].mkv” instead of “[Doki] New Game! - OVA (848x480 HEVC DVD AAC) [141864F2].mkv”?
TroublingThings has a point. Hepburn is superior. In a language like English that does in fact differentiate “see” and “she”, there is only one appropriate way to romanize Japanese so that it SOUNDS correct. Technicalities be damned.
Go into any Japanese elementary school and ask a child to pronounce ち and the SOUND you will hear is “chi”, not “ti”.
@Doki … you’re writing names in English subtitles, why would you pick, out of all the options, the one which is arguably worst for accurately conveying pronunciation? Wāpuro, an transliteration method, is poorly standardised and intended for input… a good hint of this is how the normal romanization of the term has a diacritic in it and thus isn’t valid in most forms of wāpuro.

@TroublingThings It’s not Kunrei-shiki, apparently it’s Wapuro-shiki. TL explained there difference here https://doki.co/2017/07/11/new-game-01-2/
That aside the second track has what we used in the manga.

@hozjiwpoo4jt221 No. The HEVC version of the encode is much better, so that’s what I’m including in the batches.

Please seed Bungaku shoujo movie
Roman-sama
I know it’s not outright wrong, but Hazime instead of Hajime, and Haduki instead of Hazuki are kinda outdated romanizations.
It’s like we’re back in 1960’s and see romanization like “syojyo” instead of “shoujo”. Nobody does that anymore.
